Stonehenge & Bath

Our day trip with Day Tours London through GetYourGuide was the perfect escape from the city considering that half the city was blocked off for some sort of royal affair. It was an inspiring mix of ancient mystery and Georgian charm.

We started early and ended up catching a taxi after catching two trains and getting no closer to our meeting point. Arriving in one of the first buses for the day to Stonehenge, made the early start worth it. Seeing the iconic stones up close was surreal. Standing silently on the Salisbury Plain, their sheer size and mystery were captivating. The audio guide added context, but it was the atmosphere that really left an impression.

Next, we headed to Bath, a city that oozes elegance and history. We enjoyed a Cornish pastie for lunch and browsed some of the shops. We explored the Roman Baths, marveling at how well preserved they are, then travelled up the streets toward the Royal Circus. Along the way, Bath truly came alive with musicians, living statues, and even a tightrope walker performing in the town center. It was impossible not to smile. The architecture was beautiful!

Our guide Sinéad was a standout! She was funny, passionate, and full of great stories that brought each stop to life. The tour was seamless, well-paced, and incredibly enjoyable.

If you’re in London and looking for a fantastic day out, we can’t recommend Day Tours London enough. Stonehenge amazed us, Bath charmed us, and the whole experience was one to remember.
