Reflection on Our 3-Night Stay at The Hilton Paddington
Our stay at The Hilton Paddington was a wonderful start to our time in London. The location is absolutely fantastic! It's right above Paddington Station, which made arriving from Heathrow and getting around the city incredibly convenient. Surprisingly, despite its position over the station, the hotel was very quiet. Once inside, you’d never know it was above a major transport hub.
The building itself has a lovely, classic charm. We opted to pay for an upgrade, which allowed us to check in early, (otherwise we would have had to wait until 4pm), something we really appreciated after arriving at 7 AM following a 24-hour flight. It was well worth the extra cost for the comfort and immediate rest.
The room was spacious, with excellent amenities and housekeeping. While there was no view, the space was quiet and comfortable, with great block-out drapes, which were especially helpful with the much longer daylight hours compared to Australia. The bed was very comfortable and much appreciated after long days of walking.
Breakfast offered a great variety, starting early at 6 AM on weekdays and 7 AM on weekends, which suited our schedule perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making everything feel smooth and well organised.
One small downside was the lack of a bar fridge, which would have been handy for storing water or snacks. That aside, our experience was overwhelmingly positive.
We’re now off to Edinburgh, using Umbrella Car Service to get to Gatwick Airport. The Hilton Paddington in London was great, and we’d gladly stay again. And yes I picked myself up a Paddington!
