What a day! We started our adventure with a scenic cable car ride up to Mt Pilatus, where we were treated to stunning alpine views and crisp mountain air. Truly a highlight of our time in Switzerland. Felt like we were on top of the world.
Back in Lucerne, we headed to Restaurant Fritschi to try the famous Swiss cheese fondue (it lived up to the hype!) along with a delicious chicken and rösti dish that hit the spot.
We then took a leisurely stroll around Lucerne’s beautiful Old Town and along the river, soaking in the postcard perfect views of historic bridges, painted buildings, and the sparkling lake. The photos do not do it justice.
We then boarded the elegant Saphir for a cruise around Lake Lucerne, enjoying the peaceful glide across the water surrounded by mountains, with cocktails in hand. It was the perfect way to wind down and reflect on such a lovely day.
After the cruise, we caught the train back to our hotel to get ready for the next chapter of our journey… Austria, here we come!
